Walks in the woods

Societies in which the average life time of citizens increases and civilization development increases exposures to harmful factors (dust, radiation, noise, stress, chemically and genetically modified food, …) are increasingly interested in what can be done to live more healthy. They are looking for such ways of spending time to regenerate your body in a short time and improve your health.

One of the most natural ways to improve health, especially mental health is the use of natural healing qualities of the forest environment. Scientific research has proved that even a short stay in the forest causes decrease in the stress hormone. A walk among the trees, called the „forest bath” allows you to keep your mental balance, strengthens the immune system and stimulates the body to renew itself. Researchers have observed differences in the impact of individual forest types. Pine forests have a calming effect, lower the pressure and support the respiratory system. Leafy hornbeam stimulates, improves mood and supports the ability to concentrate.

In Japan, there are currently several dozens of forest therapy centers created mainly to counter the effects of overworking.

In many countries, attempts have been made to use „forest baths” in cases of autism, depression, disability and ailments associated with old age. Also, therapeutic centers for addicts that implement the „Meet the Tree” programs have been launched.

We invite you for walks in the wilderness – our center has an area of over 50 ha, is located in the Natura 2000 area, in the Drawska Forest, three protected landscape areas, close to Drawa National Park. See you later :).
